What this book is about--
This book is about Gary Paulsen and his life. The book tells about what he did before he became a writer. This book tells things that happened to Gary growing up. “Guts” tells about how Gary survived when he was racing his dogs in the Iditarod. It also describes other close encounters with nature. This book also reveals what had inspired him to write his “Brain books”. (Hatchet, The River, Brain’s Winter, and Brain’s Return)
